Cambium Networks XGS-PON Pluggable ONU

The Pluggable ONU also enables the direct termination of a fiber XGS-PON connection into a cnMatrix™ switch or other third-party switches/routers.

The Cambium Fiber XGS-PON Pluggable ONU (Optical Network Unit) extends the fiber network into hard-to-reach places or last-mile applications with seamless integration directly into Cambium radios such as ePMP™ 4500/4600 or cnWave™ GHz V5000/V3000.

Its compact design eliminates the need for additional external ONUs or converters and results in a small form-factor deployment, reducing space and power requirements, keeping installation costs low while delivering the full capabilities of XGS-PON technology.

The ONU plugs into a Cambium radio infrastructure, leveraging the radio’s wireless backhaul capabilities to bridge the gap between the fiber network endpoint and the end user location. It’s an ideal solution for areas where deploying fiber is impractical or cost prohibitive.
